Writing groups
The EM Writing group meets periodically to discuss the craft of creative writing and to workshop drafts of works in progress. Guest writers who have led workshops include the novelist Nellie Hermann, MFA, author of the acclaimed novel The Cure for Grief (Scribner: 2008) and the Chief Writing Faculty in the Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University Medical School and Kellie Auerbach, MFA, novelist/screenwriter, and noted writing instructor who has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, CalArts, and USC Keck School of Medicine. In addition, faculty and residents can request one-on-one feedback on creative work.
