Quizzes

There will be a total of 13 quizzes, with each one given at the beginning of the class, starting with the second session on Jan. 29. These quizzes will be 20 minutes in length and will be based on the lecture material from the preceding week. Each quiz will be worth 5% of the final grade. The lowest quiz score will be dropped so that each student quiz grade will be based on 12 quizzes each worth 5%, totaling 60% of the final grade.

Final Exam

There will be a take-home final exam, worth 40% of the final grade. This exam covers all of the material presented in the class. Each student is expected to work independently on this exam.
