Biography

After completing a research doctorate in Therapeutic Studies at Boston University in 2000, Dr. Fasoli was a post-doctoral fellow and visiting scholar in the Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT she worked closely with engineers on the implementation, interpretation, and dissemination of research on robot-assisted therapy for adults and children with impaired upper extremity function due to stroke or cerebral palsy.

During her career, Dr. Fasoli has held a variety of clinical, academic, and management positions, and has published on a variety of topics, including neurorehabilitation, rehabilitation robotics/technology and occupational therapy for persons with physical disabilities. She has presented nationally on rehabilitation robotics, and is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
