Biography
Brief Bio
Dr. DiGiovanni graduated from Dartmouth College and received his MD from the Brown-Dartmouth Program. He completed his orthopaedic residency and an additional year of orthopaedic trauma training at Brown University. Dr. DiGiovanni then pursued another year of fellowship training in total joint replacement and reconstruction at Cornell University Medical CollegeóThe Hospital For Special Surgery, as well as arthroscopy/sports medicine of the foot and ankle at Harbor-UCLA and USC Affiliated Hospitals. He followed this with a foot and ankle reconstructive and trauma fellowship at the University of WashingtonóHarborview Medical Center, Seattle. Dr. DiGiovanni later returned to Brown University as Chief of the Foot and Ankle Service. His research interests include bunion and toe deformity, total ankle replacement, implant design, and minimally invasive arthroscopic /soft tissue techniques to improve foot and ankle function. He has published on a wide range of orthopaedic disorders of the lower extremity.
