Global Health Initiative
The Brown Global Health Initiative is a multidisciplinary, university-wide effort and its mission is to reduce health inequalities among underserved populations locally and worldwide through education, research, service, and the development of partnerships. This endeavor is truly university-wide, involving faculty and students from the university and its affiliated hospital campuses.

Anna Lalor Burdick Program
The Anna Lalor Burdick Program, an initiative of the Lalor Foundation, seeks to educate young women about human reproduction in order to broaden and enhance their options in life. The foundation offersgrants to support one-time projects, ongoing projects, new projects and initiatives that demonstrate realistic plans to achieve greater financial self-sufficiency. These projects are in the area of reproductive education and focus on young women, including young mothers and preteens. Grants are generally awarded for one year only, though there are exceptions under special circumstances. A concept paper is submitted as the first step in the application process.
