Brown University's Child Care Subsidy
Brown University Child Care Subsidy for Faculty, Non Union Staff, Postdoctoral Associates/Fellows, Graduate and Medical Students
Brown University’s Child Care Subsidy helps you pay for your child care expenses by granting awards of $1,000-$4,000 a year for those whose total household adjusted gross income is less than or equal to $100,000 per year. The Subsidy covers child care for dependents between the ages of 0 to 6 and will vary from family to family and year to year depending on a family's financial need and a range of other factors. The subsidy helps you explore options and find creative solutions to some of the child care challenges you may face. For more information, please visit the Human Resources site.
Backup Care Program for Brown University Employees
The University's Backup Care Program Adminstrator, Work Options Group, is now part of Bright Horizons Family Solutions. This benefit provides eligible employees with access to backup care when they experience a temporary breakdown in their normal care arrangements. Employees will be able to schedule care for a child and/or an adult when needed. This program will help employees get to work with confidence, knowing that their loved ones are in skilled hands. The Backup Care Program covers both planned and unplanned care needs, at a low cost to you, giving you 24/7 access to experienced backup care specialists. These specialists find and schedule licensed, qualified care on your behalf, anytime you or your usual provider cannot be there.
