The mission of MomDocFamily is to provide mentorship and support for women physicians facing the challenges and rewards of combining a medical career with motherhood. We are a multi-disciplinary group of women doctors representing all stages of careers and medical training. We are committed to supporting one another's efforts to attain professional success and personal satisfaction. Included in our mission is our dedication to learn from each other's experiences by openly discussing career and parenting strategies.

Amy S. Gottlieb, MD, MDF Co-Director, is an Associate Professor of Medicine
and Obstetrics-GyMomDocFamily (MDF) Co-Directorsnecology (Clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Director of Primary Care Curricula for The Residency Program in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Women and Infants Hospital. Her professional interests include the health care response to intimate partner violence, medical education, and faculty development. She has a 15-year old daughter. E-mail: agottlieb@wihri.org

Lynn E. Taylor, MD, MDF Co-Founder and Co-Director, Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is an HIV/AIDS specialist in the Division of Infectious Diseases, focusing on prevention and treatment of hepatitis C and hepatitis B viruses in vulnerable populations and on the primary care of HIV-infected persons. She developed and directs Miriam Hospital's HIV/Viral Hepatitis Coinfection Program. Her research and community-based efforts focus on HIV/hepatitis C virus coinfection. MomDocFamily (MDF) Advisory Board

Lynn E. Iler, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a founding partner at Dermatology Professionals, Inc. in East Greenwich, RI. She specializes in skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment. She has three sons ages 11, 9, and 7.  Email: lynniler@gmail.com


Alice Y. Kim, MD is a clinical cardiologist with the Brigham and Women's Hospital at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. She was in private practice in Albany, New York for seven years before moving back with her husband who is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology with hopes to focus on the diagnosis and therapies of treatment for valve disease. She is happy to be back in RI with her three boys ages 1, 4, and 5 years old.

Neha Raukar, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Director of the Division of Sports Medicine. She works at the Rhode Island Hospital and Miriam Hospital emergency departments and practices sports medicine with University Orthopedics and The Center for Sports Medicine. She is the Chair of the Section for Sports Medicine at the American College of Emergency Medicine. She has lectured nationally on the collasped athlete. Her research interests include acute management of concussions and the female athlete. She has two incredible daughters, a 3-year old and an infant. E-mail: nraukar@gmail.com

Beth Ryder, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School (AMS) of Brown University. She practices general and minimally invasive surgery at Rhode Island Hospital and at the VA Medical Center, both in Providence, RI. Her clinical and research interests are in the fields of bariatric surgery and surgical education. Dr. Ryder is also the co-director of the AMS Core Clerkship in Surgery. Audrey R. Tyrka, MD, PhD
is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Associate Chief of the Mood Disorders Program at Butler Hospital, and Director of Butler’s Laboratory for Clinical Neuroscience. Her research is focused on the neurobiological and psychiatric effects of stress, particularly childhood maltreatment and other childhood adversities. She has 2 children, ages 10 and 14.
