The mission of MomDocFamily is to provide mentorship and support for women physicians facing the challenges and rewards of combining a medical career with motherhood. We are a multi-disciplinary group of women doctors representing all stages of careers and medical training. We are committed to supporting one another's efforts to attain professional success and personal satisfaction. Included in our mission is our dedication to learn from each other's experiences by openly discussing career and parenting strategies.

Amy S. Gottlieb, MD, MDF Co-Director, is an Associate Professor of Medicine
and Obstetrics-GyMomDocFamily (MDF) Co-Directorsnecology (Clinical) at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and the Director of Primary Care Curricula for The Residency Program in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Women and Infants Hospital. Her professional interests include the health care response to intimate partner violence, medical education, and faculty development. She has a 16-year old daughter. E-mail: agottlieb@wihri.org

Lynn E. Taylor, MD, MDF Co-Founder and Co-Director, Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is an HIV/AIDS specialist in the Division of Infectious Diseases, focusing on prevention and treatment of hepatitis C and hepatitis B viruses in vulnerable populations and on the primary care of HIV-infected persons. She developed and directs Miriam Hospital's HIV/Viral Hepatitis Coinfection Program. Her research, patient care, teaching and community-based efforts involve extending hepatitis C virus (HCV) care to persons with HIV and co-existing psychiatric and substance disorders, and improving HCV screening, diagnosis and treatment uptake. Lynn E. Iler, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a founding partner at Dermatology Professionals, Inc. in East Greenwich, RI. She specializes in skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment. She has three sons ages 12, 10, and 9.  Email: lynniler@gmail.com


Alice Y. Kim, MD FACC is a clinical Cardiologist with Brigham and Women's Cardiovascular Associates at Memorial and Kent Hospitals.  She is also working in Boston with an interest in advanced valvular and structural heart disease after 8 years of private practice in New York.  She is most happy finding adventures with her family including 3 boys (ages 4, 7, and 8) and husband.

Neha Raukar, MD, MS, FACPis an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of the Division of Sports Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.   As an emergency physician also certified in Sports Medicine, she is uniquely trained to care for the acutely injured athlete.  Dr. Raukar specializes in the medical management of athletic and musculoskeletal injuries.  She is currently serving on a committee with the Institute of Medicine on Concussion in Youth Sports.  An advocate for legislation to protect athletes from returning to play before they are ready, Dr. Raukar testified at the state senate hearings.  Her current research interests include consequences of concussion in the student-athlete, concussion in the trauma patient,  and gender differences in orthopedic and sports medicine. She has two princesses, ages 5 and 3.

Beth Ryder, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School (AMS) of Brown University. She practices general and minimally invasive surgery at the Miriam Hospital and at the VA Medical Center, both in Providence, RI. Her clinical and research interests are in the fields of bariatric surgery and surgical education. Dr. Ryder is also the co-director of the AMS Core Clerkship in Surgery. Audrey R. Tyrka, MD, PhD
is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Director for Laboratory for Clinical and Translational Neuroscience at Butler Hospital. Her research is focused on the neurobiological and psychiatric effects of stress, particularly childhood maltreatment and other childhood adversities. She has 2 children, ages 11 and 15.
