Professional Development

The Office for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies has developed a series of professional development and enrichment events, activities, and programs for both graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in the Division of Biology and Medicine. Many times the activites are also open to non-BioMed postdoc researchers on a space available basis.

The Office promotes a series called "Mentoring Mondays" that are held monthly throughout the academic year. The first Mentoring Monday event, now an annual event that is held in September, is the Postdoc Orientation, Networking, and Resource Reception co-sponsored with the Graduate School. Now in its second year, this event has been well received and attended.

Other programs include a series on Responsible Conduct in Research, career development panels, mentoring seminars, and more, some of which are listed on our website under previous events.
