Professional Development
The Office for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies has developed a series of professional development and enrichment events, activities, and programs for both graduate students and postdoc scholars in the Division of Biology and Medicine to compliment scientific training and enhance competitiveness after Brown. Many times the activites and programs are open to non-BioMed postdoc researchers on a space available basis.
The Office promotes a professional development series called "Mentoring Mondays" with programs held monthly throughout the academic year. The Postdoc Resource and Networking event, now in its second year, is held annually in September and has been well received and attended.
Other professional development programs include a series on Responsible Conduct in Research, career development panels, mentoring seminars, and more, some of which are listed on our website under the link "previous events held."
Further information on professional development events and resources can be found at the left margin.
