Graduate Students
The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is strongly committed to helping you succeed in your studies and advance in your professional development. Offerings include workshops on ethics training, networking, and grant writing, as well as support for fellowship application writing.
Since graduate students are enrolled through the Graduate School, policies regarding student status, the academic code, master's thesis and doctoral dissertation guidelines, and grievance procedures can be found at the Graduate School's Rules and Regulations page. The Graduate School provides information on Health Insurance, as does the Office of Insurance and Risk. For specific questions regarding requirements for your doctoral program, housed in the Division of Biology and Medicine, please look through the Program Handbook (below) and talk to your Program Director.
Please read the Welcome Letter to familiarize yourself with appointments and support for PhD studies in BioMed and at Brown.
If you are unable to find the answer to your question, please contact Tracey Cronin, Coordinator of Graduate Affairs.
