Message from Dean Thompson to Postdocs
Dear Postdoctoral Scholar:
After the first Brown-wide Postdoctoral Resource and Networking event in 2007, a small group of volunteers met with me to discuss potential initiatives that would enhance the postdoc experience within the Division of Biology and Medicine. The input from this initiate group was extremely valuable. As a result, others postdocs joined to represent their individual Departments and form a “Postdoctoral Advisory Panel” for my office. The panel has continuously expanded and now includes members from outside the Division, which is great news, and Sheila Bonde, Dean of the Graduate School, now attends all panel meetings.
You are a valued member of the Brown research community and your opinion matters. Please contact my office with any concerns, professional development needs, and other resources that will aid in your career advancement and sense of community. If you are interested in representing your Department as advisor and can spare an hour or so twice a semester, please contact Susan Rottenberg, Postdoctoral Program and Data Manager.
Thank you,
Nancy
