Clinical simulation enables deliberate practice, helping healthcare professionals perform at their peak. Our work promotes clinical excellence through process refinement, skills acquisition and mastery. Immersive simulation draws participants through realistic scenarios towards specific algorithm, behavioral, and teamwork learning objectives. We offer a safe learning environment in which to practice techniques and advance patient safety.


Dr. Bender is a neonatologist and founding Director of the Simulation Program at Women and Infants' Hospital (WIH). His background in industrial engineering, engineering management and medicine uniquely qualify him for macrosystems testing in healthcare. He leads WIH pediatric clinical informatics process engineering and staff training for the electronic medical record and numerous technical implementations.
