Biography

I am interested in the application of noninvasive cardiac imaging, including nuclear cardiology and echocardiography, in the evaluation and management of patients with known or suspected cardiovascular disease. I also participate in medical education at the local, regional and national levels. I am Medical Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Rhode Island Hospital, Governor Elect of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, and serve as both the Vice President and Chair of the Education Committee for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Teaching Experience

As Medical Director of the Coronary and Intermediate Coronary Care Units at Rhode Island Hospital, I am involved in teaching and curriculum development at each level of Medical, Graduate and Post-Graduate Medical Education. As a clinician educator, I teach primarily on bedside rounds, but also teach Cardiology Fellows in the Noninvasive Cardiology Laboratories. I also direct the Internal Medicine Residency Electrocardiography Interpretation Clerkship for 2nd year residents.
