Biography

ROLAND CLAYTON MERCHANT, MD, MPH, ScD is an Attending Physician in the Emergency Departments at Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital. Dr. Merchant has a Masters degree in Public Health (Quantitative methods) and a doctorate in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Residency Training: Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY and Internship at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda

Fellowship Training: Research Fellow in the Section of Emergency Medicine and Division of Infectious Diseases, Rhode Island Hospital

Board Certified: Emergency Medicine
