Genetic Effects of Environmental Mutagens and Antimutagens

Studies continue to explore the antimutagenic behavior of naturally occurring substances such as chlorophyll and ascorbic acid and vanilla. chlorophyll, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and vanilla. Efforts are also underway on the construction of special strains bearing repair-deficient mutants (excision and post replication repair) to determine their relationship to the above described phenomenon.
