The Rhode Island Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences (CCTS) draws upon the existing strengths and extensive research experience across Brown's main campus, and with several collaborating institutions throughout Rhode Island. Our partners include:
- Bradley Hospital
- Butler Hospital
- Hasbro Children's Hospital
- Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole
- Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island
- Miriam Hospital
- Providence Veterans Administration Medical Center
- Rhode Island Department of Corrections
- Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation

- Rhode Island Hospital
- University of Rhode Island
- Women and Infants' Hospital.
Basic and clinical researchers from these institutions have been actively involved with the CCTS since its' inception, and have formed a strong collaborative clinical and translational research team.
During the planning phase for the Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences, this leadership team was able to identify areas of strength, collaboration, and growth that each institution brings to the clinical and translational sciences approach. The Center's leadership will result in outcomes that:
- Forge and improve basic and clinical research collaborative relationships by facilitating communications;
- Build strong clinical and translational research programs that will help Rhode Island secure long-term competitive private and public funding opportunities; and
- Engage and guide regional and global communities to improve health outcomes.
