- What is the timeline for the CTSA application?
- Brown, in collaboration with its partner institutions, submitted a full, competitive Clinical and Translational Sciences Award proposal to the National Institutes of Health in both 2009 and 2010. A new call for proposals is anticipated for June 2012.
- What is the level of funding?
- The Clinical and Translational Sciences Award (CTSA) provides up to $4 million in total costs per year for five continuous years.
- Who are the participants?
- Numerous investigators from diverse disciplines throughout Brown have contributed to the CTSA proposal. We have also developed a consortium of participants, with representation from the University of Rhode Island, Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, several teaching hospitals, government agencies, and research institutions.
- Who can become involved?
- The Clinical and Translational Sciences Award proposal is a multi-investigator, inter-disciplinary project. As such, we welcome any investigators who are interested in contributing to this effort and becoming more involved in our day-to-day activities. There are numerous ways to become involved.
