What is the timeline for the CTSA application?
Brown, in collaboration with its partner institutions, submitted a full, competitive Clinical and Translational Sciences Award proposal to the National Institutes of Health in both 2009 and 2010. A new call for proposals is anticipated for June 2012.
What is the level of funding?
The Clinical and Translational Sciences Award (CTSA) provides up to $4 million in total costs per year for five continuous years.
Who are the participants?
Numerous investigators from diverse disciplines throughout Brown have contributed to the CTSA proposal. We have also developed a consortium of participants, with representation from the University of Rhode Island, Marine Biological Laboratory at Woods Hole, several teaching hospitals, government agencies, and research institutions.
Who can become involved?
The Clinical and Translational Sciences Award proposal is a multi-investigator, inter-disciplinary project. As such, we welcome any investigators who are interested in contributing to this effort and becoming more involved in our day-to-day activities. There are numerous ways to become involved.
