CTSA
The Clinical and Translational Sciences Award (CTSA) is a funding mechanism that was established by the National Institutes of Health in 2006. These awards are intended to create academic homes for clinical and translational research at research institutions throughout the United States. A major goal of the CTSA program is to nurture collaboration across disciplines and to promote bench-to-bedside and beside-to-community research.
Currently, 60 academic research institutions comprise the CTSA consortium. Through collaboration, consortium institutions are able to leverage their respective strengths to enhance the quality and efficiency of clinical and translational research.
