About

The mission of the Rhode Island Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences is to provide leadership, training, and research infrastructure for clinical investigators.  The Center seeks to promote collaborative research endeavors for new, innovative research projects that will have positive effects on the health of all Rhode Islanders.  By building on existing strengths and establishing new programs, we will develop new benchmarks of excellence in research, education, and public leadership.

The Rhode Island Center for Clinical and Translational Sciences has the following goals:

  1. Provide leadership and a primary point of contact for clinical and translational researchers;
  2. Provide researchers and research teams with enhanced and integrated core research infrastructure to shape innovative research ideas, tools, and technologies, and to conduct innovative clinical trials;
  3. Nurture collaboration among multi- and inter-disciplinary researchers and teams to bring research from bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-community; and
  4. Conduct clinical research to improve the health of both Rhode Island and the global community.
