• Internal Funding Opportunities
  The Vice President for Research is pleased to offer a number of research funding opportunities for Brown Faculty. Research Seed Funds and Salomon Awards are competitive grants distributed directly to faculty researchers and administered by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). OVPR distributes the Humanities Research Funds to department chairs, who then make allocations to individual faculty within their departments. Detailed guidelines are available in the document OVPR Research Fund Guidelines 2011-2012.
• Restricted Funding Opportunitiesphp
  The Vice President for Research, in coordination with the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences and the Dean of the Faculty, has established processes to facilitate the selection and submission of applications for programs with restricted submission policies. For the majority of these programs, the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) will announce a deadline for an internal review of applications/nominations. The offices of the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences or the Dean of Faculty will take part in the review process in coordination with a faculty review committee, and the Provost will be consulted regarding the final decision Restricted Funding Opportunities
