Cognitive Content:            Pediatric psychiatry: interviewing, diagnostic assessments, and treatment

Competencies:                  Ability I: advanced level, Ability IV: advanced level, Ability IX: advanced level, Provisionally approved

Prerequisites:                   Clerkship in Psychiatry

Criteria for Passing:           20 minute presentation on a topic related to observed cases.

Criteria for Honors:           Superior performance in interviewing/history taking and mental status examination as well as active involvement in treatment.

Number of Hrs/Wk Classroom/Discussion: 30-40

Number of Nights Oncall per Week: None

Description:                     The clerkship in child psychiatry at Bradley Hospital is intended to serve as an introduction for students interested in pediatrics, child psychiatry, general psychiatry, developmental psychopathology, or adolescent medicine.
