Prerequisites:     None

Criteria for Passing:     Students must examine patients, identify problems and write problem oriented histories and physicals.  They must discuss the problems and formulate treatment plans.

Criteria for Honors:     Good history taking and thorough physical examinations.

Competencies:     Ability IV: advanced level, Ability VII: intermediate level. Provisionally approved

Number Hrs/Wk of Classroom/Discussion:     12

Number of Nights Oncall per Week:     None

Description:     Evaluate patients in the out-patient department supervised by the faculty, patient rounds in the wards with the faculty.  Evaluate patients in the hospital and see patients in the rural clinic.
