Course Leader: John Duncan, MD and staff
Course Location: Rhode Island Hospital
Cognitive Content: The elective will provide a sampling of neurological surgery experience through participation in teaching rounds and conferences of the neurosurgery residency program, patient management discussions and observation of neurosurgical operations.
Prerequisites: Clerkship in Surgery
Criteria for Passing: Effective and competent participation as outlined
above and favorable recommendations from both supervising attending physician
and supervising resident.
Competencies: Ability II: advanced level

Number of Nights Oncall per Week: Variable
Description: Student's primary activity will be patient
assessment, patient rounds, conference attendance, and surgical participation.
