When Offered:     All year, except July and August

Maximum Students per Rotation:     1 student per preceptor

Duration of Rotation:     24 weeks

Type of Rotation:     Ambulatory Longitudinal

Prerequisites:     Clerkship in Medicine

Criteria for Honors:     Regular attendance, appropriate level of assertiveness and respect of patient-attending relationship - completion of a voluntary scholarly activity (chart revew study is best bet).

Competencies:     Ability I: advanced level, Ability II: advanced level, Ability IV: advanced level, Ability IX: advanced level

Planned Independent Projects for Students:     Patient generated topics for reading potential for clinical research presentation

Description:      The student will linteract with patients, conduct history and physical - document selected sections of patient records - present patien to attending- observe attending-patient interaction and understand plan of action.
