Duration of Rotation:         8 weeks, 1 time per week (2 weeks credit)

Type of Rotation:              Seminar

Cognitive Content:            This seminar will discuss the relationship between the presenting student and his/her patient.

Prerequisites:                   Year III or IV Status

Criteria for Passing:           Evaluation will be based on group participation, group attendance.  A self-awareness questionnaire will be presented prior to starting the course and at the end of the course.

Competencies Met:                     Ability VI: intermediate level, Ability IX: intermediate level.

Description:                     This seminar course will help the student to understand the patient as a person, determine the affect of the patient's personality on the illness and its management, and to support the professional development of students through the types of cases presented.
