Prerequisites:Completion of 3rd year clerkships

Criteria for Honors: The student will perform a detailed and accurate history and physical exam, interpret clinical and lab data, formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan. The student will also work with the patient, the therapy staff, patient’s family and/or employee in an empathetic, appropriate and effective fashion to receive an Honors grade.

Competencies:Ability I: advanced level, Ability II: advanced level, Ability IV: advanced level, Ability IX: advanced level

Description: The student will evaluate new patients, formulate a treatment plan, follow that patient in therapy, perform injections (if indicated as part of the treatment plan) monitor and titrate medications, etc.
