Andrew Green, M.D.

Associate Professor
Shoulder and Elbow Surgery
Dr. Green's Professional Papers

Dr. Green is a graduate of Princeton University and the College of Physicians and Surgeons and Columbia University. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Brown University. His post-graduate training has included a Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery with Dr. Tom Norris in San Francisco. He was a visiting fellow with Dr. Robert Leffert at Massachusetts General Hospital prior to returning to Rhode Island to join the Brown University faculty in 1993. His research interests include basic science and clinical outcome studies on shoulder and elbow disorders. He has published extensively on shoulder and elbow disorders. He is Medical Director of the Arthroscopy Bioskills Laboratory in the Orthopaedic Research Labs. Dr. Green is an editorial reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. Dr. Green is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, Academic Orthopaedic Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He has served on a number of national committees and regularly teaches at the Orthopaedic Learning Center of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
