The Brown University MD/PhD Program provides promising students with a supportive learning environment which combines medicine with a basic biomedical research experience. Training takes place within the Division of Biology and Medicine, which maintains an administrative structure that promotes the intellectual integration of the biological and medical sciences. Within the Division, our graduate programs offer a high quality research experience with faculty mentors carefully selected for their recognized excellence in research and mentoring. The research experience takes place in a medically-oriented setting which encourages the application of basic research observations to real world clinical problems.
